Flower story

pretty delicate mini wild flowers, Castle meadow

Biologists believe the first flowering plant looked like: dainty and white, with curved petals arranged in threes, in series of concentric circles or “whorls”, unlikely today’s flowers that bloom in spirals. Both female and male parts (pistils and stamens) on the same blossom and likely looked like a water lily. How that first flower may have smelled is still unknown. 🙂
