New wave of bad weather with snow and low temperatures. I made some zoom photos from my balcony to show you oranges in snow 🙂
Bitter oranges covered with snow, or marmalade oranges. The streets of Thessaloniki are lined with orange trees and olive trees. These bitter orange trees are used for decoration only, as their fruit is too bitter to be eaten raw.

Interesting. Great picture. I remember one year growing up Florida had a freak freeze must before the fruit was harvested. They lost most of the crop that year and a lot of damage to the trees.

Thank you! Bitter oranges are more cold-tolerant than sweet oranges and the snow doesn’t stay long.
