This super-easy cake is about as simple as one-bowl layer cake recipe. You’re really going to love this cake, friends. This is recipe to start with: read here. Bake as usual and cut the cold cake in half horizontally to yield 2 layers. Brush the cake layer with 1/4 cup (60 ml) cherry syrup. Whip cream add kirsch black cherries and spread between layers, spread the remaining cream over top and sides of cake. Decorate with cherries and sprinkle chocolate. I used amarene sour cherries in syrup. Beat the eggs and the sugar together in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking powder. Add milk, vanilla and flour mixture and mix lightly. Pour into an oiled cake tin. Bake in preheated oven at 180C for about 35 minutes until it is nice and gold. Place cake on a serving tray. When the cake has cooled slightly cut into squares and use a sifter to sprinkle powdered sugar until coated.
