Orange tree in pot

I noticed recently that street’s trees of olives and oranges has been pruned. Now I wonder if the same should be done to the little trees in pots on balconies. I have one orange tree in pot, amazing how it’s behavior is the same as big trees in nature.  I just potted plant in a new pot because old was cracked one stormy summer day. But I did not pruned branches or roots. Plants in pots cannot live many years in the same pot unless their roots are pruned and the soil changed. My orange tree is very small and looks happy in a new pot 🙂
